// payroll · live

Payroll for FedEx Ground contractors.

Drop in your Weekly Service Worksheets (DSWs) — one per CSA → a clean, driver-by-driver gross-pay register in one pass. Daily pay, stop bonuses, service and 6th-day rules — all configurable. The calculation layer only; keep your own payroll provider.

A full pay run, start to finish — on sample data. Narrated, with captions on-screen throughout.

Why we built it

Payroll is the best weekly litmus test of how efficient your operation actually is — but it's also the chore most likely to eat a Sunday. We built this to run our own multi-station payroll in minutes, off the same DSW files FedEx already gives you. Here's the thinking behind it →

It reads the file, matches drivers, applies your pay rules, and hands back a register you can check line by line before anyone gets paid. No new system to learn, no data re-entry, no black box.

[ how it works ]
01

Drop your weekly DSWs

The same .xls Weekly Service Worksheets you already download from MyGroundBiz — one per CSA, or all at once. They upload straight to your own private storage.

02

Review the register

Every driver, every day, every bonus — laid out so you can verify a number before you trust it. Assign a rate for any new driver.

03

Export the gross-pay register

A clean Excel register you hand to your payroll provider. You stay in control of disbursement.

What it is
  • A configurable pay calculator for daily-rate driver payrolls
  • Stop, service (ILS), and 6th-day bonus rules you set for your whole operation
  • Flags weeks a driver ran a truck you've marked 10,000 lb GVWR or less — those drivers are computed hourly with overtime (FLSA), trued up to daily pay if that's higher
  • A reviewable, exportable register — auditable line by line
What it isn't
  • Not a payroll provider — it doesn't move money or file taxes
  • Not a guarantee — you verify the numbers before paying
  • Not locked behind a sales call — sign up and run a pay run yourself
// the firewall

Built by a contractor. Walled off from one.

I run my own FedEx Ground stations, so I'd ask the same thing you're asking: can the person who built this see my numbers? He can't — and that's wired into the database, not a promise. Your workspace is sealed off from mine and from every other contractor's.

  • Your data sits in its own walled workspace. Row-Level Security tags every record to your business and refuses any query that hasn't proven whose workspace it's for — it fails shut, not open.
  • I can't pull your data, even holding the keys. The app runs on a restricted database login with no bypass privilege, and there's no "view as customer" screen anywhere in it.
  • No payroll data goes to outside services. Billing sees your subscription and account email — never driver names or pay figures.
  • You see every line before payday, and you can delete it all. It computes the register; you review and disburse. Ask to delete your workspace and it's removed, verified down to zero.
